First and foremost, I would like to sincerely thank those who chose me to be Men's Club Captain for the 2026/27 season.

Having played for Gorey since Minis, it is a great privilege to have been entrusted with this role. I am looking forward to the responsibility and challenges that come with it, and I hope the coming season will bring success and enjoyment for everyone involved in Gorey RFC, both on and off the field.

I would like to thank outgoing Captain Isaac Porter for his tireless work over the past couple of seasons. His commitment and leadership have been greatly appreciated by players and members alike.

To all the work done by our Executive and Sub Committees in keeping the club constantly moving forward and growing, thank you. The continued progress of Gorey RFC would not be possible without the time and effort of so many people.

I would like to extend my best wishes to the Ladies for the upcoming season. I have no doubt they will build on the success of last year and continue to represent Gorey RFC with pride. They set a strong example for those coming through the club, and I look forward to supporting them throughout the season.

To all the Minis and underage players, who are the senior players of tomorrow, I hope the coming season brings plenty of enjoyment and success.

I would also like to thank all those who volunteer, coach, support and help fundraise throughout the year. The strong sense of community within Gorey RFC is what makes the club such a special place. Whether on the pitch, on the sidelines or behind the scenes, every contribution plays an important role in the continued success of the club.

I know I speak on behalf of all Senior Players when I say that we will once again do our very best to bring pride and enjoyment to all members of Gorey RFC.
