Respect Our Game
Gorey RFC fully supports the IRFU Respect Our Game policy and the standards of behaviour it represents.
Rugby is built on respect: respect for our teammates, our opposition, our coaches and, critically, our referees and match officials.
We want to be absolutely clear that Gorey RFC has zero tolerance for the abuse, intimidation or harassment of referees or match officials, whether it comes from players, coaches, parents, supporters or anyone representing our club.
Decisions may not always go our way. That is part of sport. Challenging or abusing the person who has stepped forward to officiate the game is not.
We ask everyone involved with Gorey RFC to lead by example, particularly around our younger players. Support your team. Respect the opposition. Respect the referee.
Without referees, there is no game.
