Gorey started brightly again in their second home match with a try on 4 minutes from Ted Kelly.
The forwards were winning some good ball & creating openings for the backs, but it was second row MJ Kavanagh Doyle who crossed over for the second Gorey try with a great direct run. Ted Kelly converted to make it 12 – 0 to Gorey. Wexford replied with a try just before half time.
Gorey started the second half with another try from Ted Kelly after a trademark solo run, Ross Swaine converted to make it 19-5.
Gorey started to pull away from Wexford with a try from Tom Keane after some neat passing from the backs. Swaine converted the 2 points.
Wexford rallied late on in the game with 2 converted tries but the damage had already been done by a great team performance from Gorey, winning 26-19.
