After one of the most successful seasons in the club's history, everyone at Gorey RFC is looking forward to the start of the 2026/27 season.

The incredible achievements of the 2025/26 season have provided a fantastic platform for the year ahead. From league and cup success across a number of squads to continued investment in our facilities and growing membership, there is a real sense of momentum throughout the club.

Pre-Season Training
Preparations for the new season are already underway, with squads returning to pre-season training over the coming weeks.

Training dates and times will vary by squad, so members are encouraged to keep an eye on the ClubZap App, where coaches and team managers will publish all updates.

Senior Men's Rugby
The Senior Men's squads are looking forward to another competitive Leinster League campaign.

The J1 & J2 squads will open their season with an away fixture against County Carlow RFC on Sunday, 20 September 2026. (Please note dates of matches are subject to change and you should check the links below for the official Match Dates and Kick Off times).

Senior Women's Rugby
Following an outstanding return to competitive rugby last season, preparations are continuing for another exciting year for our Senior Women's squad.

The 2026/27 league fixtures are currently being finalised by Leinster Rugby and will be available at:

U20s Rugby
Work is continuing on plans for the club's U20 squad for the coming season. If you are interested in this new Squad - please discuss with our Director of Rugby - David Swaine or Mick Kelly who will be managing the Squad.

Membership for the 2026/27 season is now open.

Please remember that, in accordance with Leinster Rugby regulations and the club's insurance requirements, all players must have either a current membership or an approved payment plan in place before they can be named on a Gorey RFC team sheet.

Returning Club Services
We're delighted to confirm that our popular Coffee Cart will once again be serving members and visitors throughout the season.

Whether you're supporting from the sidelines or waiting for training to finish, you'll once again be able to enjoy great coffee and refreshments at the club.

New for Winter 2026
As part of our commitment to continually improving the member experience, Gorey RFC will be trialling a mobile sauna during the winter months. 

The sauna will be operated and managed by an independent third-party provider and will be available for members to book and enjoy after training or matches.

Senior Squads Tryka Sim Event
As part of pre-season preparations, our Senior Men's and Senior Women's squads will take part in a Tryka Sim Event on Saturday, 8 August. This event is suitable for participants 16+.

This unique pre-season session will give players the opportunity to experience the latest Tryka performance technology in a fun and competitive environment while continuing to build fitness, teamwork and squad cohesion ahead of the new campaign.

The event also provides an excellent opportunity for new players to meet teammates and become part of the Gorey RFC community before league action begins.

Mini Rugby Returns Soon
Sunday mornings at Gorey RFC will soon be buzzing again as Mini Rugby returns in early September.

Our Mini section continues to introduce hundreds of young players to rugby each season in a fun, safe and welcoming environment.

Training dates, times and registration details will be announced shortly.

The coming season promises another exciting chapter for Gorey RFC.

With strong playing squads, dedicated volunteers, first-class facilities and a growing membership, we are well placed to build on everything achieved during 2025/26.
