An early start for our U14g to arrive at a breezy Dundalk for their final group game with semi final place up for grabs.

The girls received from the start but started slower than they had been with them playing against the wind, considering Dundalk had the ball in Gorey's half for long periods and lost a try as their player ran over the dead ball line, Gorey kept them at nil all until around the 20th minute when our #8 Caoimhe McCann went over for the first score of the game.

This was followed by a try from our speedy #15 Medbh Dowling and converted by #10 Darcie Bailey.

First half resulted in some lost lineouts thanks to the wind not being in our favour but the girls kept their composure.

After half time the girls never took their foot off the pedal, some big tackles and a 3rd try for #7 Elly Rynhart Kenny, and converted by Darcie leaving it 0 19.

Medbh added another 10 with 2 tries before Dundalk went over for their only try of the game and converting it from in front of the posts.

2 minutes to go and Gorey kept their cool, kept their composure and came away with a vital win.

Semi Final place booked but 3rd or 4th place to be decided by points difference as they end the group phase with 18 points, the same as Rhinos. It wasn't a perfect game but Gorey's tackling was phenomenal with Ciara Nagle as seen in photo putting her opposition into touch to prevent a line break.

Player of the match went to captain and #12 Rosie Ryan.
