A superb all-round performance from the Gorey U18.5 girls on Saturday saw them overcome Dundalk and secure their place in the Leinster League semi-final.
Cadie opened the scoring early for Gorey before a tightly contested first half saw Dundalk respond, leaving the sides level 5–5 at halftime.
Strong defence from Cadie, Roisin and Orla, along with a brilliant interception from Amy, kept Gorey firmly in the contest. The second half belonged to Gorey. Elise crossed for a brilliant hat-trick of tries, with Emer adding the extras, while Zara powered over late on to seal the win. Big carries from Aoibhinn, Caoimhe and Elise kept Dundalk under constant pressure, with Lily also making a huge impact with key turnovers.
