Gorey breezed through to the next round with a 10-try demolition of Navan at Clonattin.

Gorey hit their guests with two tries in the opening seven minutes from Joe Naughton and Harry Stacey, from a charge down, both converted by Joseph Nansen for a 14-point advantage.

The home side was met with below-average physicality on the gain line and everything flowed from there. Scrum-half Stephen Hendy, left-wing Jack Tully and number-eight Jordan Ahern claimed tries for a 33-point difference on the run to half-time.

It was more of the same in the second period as the Gorey pack continued to dominate. Second-row Stephen Gardiner and centre Nansen added to the tally by the 47th minute. Number eight  Aherne and Tully both added their second tries and lock Isaac Porter muscled over the tenth, Nansen converting nine out of ten.
