Wexford were the visitors to a sunny and warm Gorey for a noon KO in a decisive game for Gorey Girls in the Leinster League.
From the start Gorey showed that they were up for a battle and quite the battle it was despite taking a 17-0 lead into half time.
Tries from a trio of back liners Elise Wan, Niamh Ryan and Cadi Lloyd Kehoe with a conversion from Alex Byrne came from a superb defensive foundation.
Wexford came at us hard in the second half as we expected and ran in 2 unconverted tries however, Alex Byrne capped off a great performance with her own breakaway converted try to seal a 24-10 result that leaves us with a chance at the playoffs.
