Gorey RFC was delighted to welcome Trevor Mallard, New Zealand Ambassador to Ireland as part of his visit to Gorey and North Wexford arranged by Senator Malcolm Byrne.
During his visit, he had an opportunity to look around our pitches, gym and club house. Trevor's daughter used to play for the NZ Ferns and has a special interest in Women's Rugby as a result, took time to meet and chat with our Girls U18.5 Squad who are hard at work preparing for their next match on Saturday 14 September against the Rhinos.
Gorey RFC welcomes Joseph Neesan who joins us for the year from New Zealand to play with our Senior Men.
The club, of course, extended an invitation to bring the All Blacks to Gorey where we would give them a great welcome.
